Customer Service Representative

Location: Knoxville, TN

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for exceptional service and ensuring our industrial clients receive tailored solutions efficiently and accurately. You will be the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of clients, managing their needs from initial inquiry to post-delivery follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with industrial clients, ensuring a personalized and responsive experience.
  • Order Management: Accurately process quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders using our ERP system, ensuring all specifications and timelines are met.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as the main point of contact for inquiries, issues, and escalations. Investigate problems thoroughly and provide timely, effective resolutions.
  • Technical Liaison: Collaborate with our production, engineering, and sales teams to communicate client requirements and ensure the final product meets exact specifications.
  • Proactive Communication: Keep clients informed about order status, potential delays, and new product offerings. Anticipate client needs and provide solutions before issues arise.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, preferences, and order history within our systems to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in a customer service or account management role, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial B2B, or technically oriented environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Mindset: A proactive, “ready when you are” attitude with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
